It’s too little, too late for Dr. Anthony Fauci. If the Pandemic doctor thinks that stepping down before Republicans come into power is going to save him—He has another thing coming. The GOP has already sounded off the battle cry with many vowing that there will be a hearing to discuss Fauci’s NIH gain of function research.
Fauci plans to be done with the White House, Washington AND his work at NIAID/NIG by December. He made the announcement earlier this week saying, “I am announcing today that I will be stepping down from the positions of Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation, as well as the position of Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden. I will be leaving these positions in December of this year to pursue the next chapter of my career.”
His statement continued, “It has been the honor of a lifetime to have led the NIAID, an extraordinary institution, for so many years and through so many scientific and public health challenges. I am very proud of our many accomplishments. I have worked with — and learned from — countless talented and dedicated people in my own laboratory, at NIAID, at NIH, and beyond. To them, I express my abiding respect and gratitude…” [Blah Blah Blah. You can read the full statement here]
But we can’t talk about the GOP gunning for Fauci, even after he leaves, without talking about Sen. Rand Paul. The Kentuc key Senator has sounded the alarms over the pandemic doctor’s questionable moves since the beginning. Monday, shortly after Fauci’s announcement, Paul made sure his intentions to subpoena Fauci were known.
“Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak,” Paul stated:

Paul had a tense exchange with Fauci in November 2021 over Fauci essentially changing the definition of gain-of-function research to better suit his purposes.
“We’re aware that you deleted gain-of-function to the NIH website,” Paul said during the exchange, as it is clear that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) did, in fact, fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab:
“You’re simply saying it doesn’t exist because you changed the definition on the NIH website. This is terrible and you’re completely trying to escape the idea that we should do something about trying to prevent a pandemic from leaking from a lab. And what you’ve done is change the definition on your website to try to cover your ass, basically. That’s what you’ve done, you’ve changed the website to change the definition that doesn’t include the risky research that’s going on. Until you admit that it’s risky, we’re not going to get anywhere. You have to admit that this research was risky. The NIH has now rebuked them, your own agency has rebuked them. You’re still unwilling to admit that they gained in function when they say they became sicker. They gained in lethality. It’s a new virus. That’s not gain-of-function?”
Paul plans to come after Fauci will all the evidence he has against him. While I reserve a bit of doubt that justice will be served, the American public should finally get more inside information as to what the hell really happened before and after the pandemic.
