Leaked audio obtained by MRC Business reveals that the chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer of Warner Bros Discovery, Dr. Asif Sadiq, is promoting radical leftist ideas and advocating for the removal of employees who do not align with their agenda.
During a Zoom call hosted by Ellen McGirt of the Aspen Institute on February 20th, Sadiq acknowledged that there will always be individuals who will not accept the push for diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Sadiq’s solution? Push them out. He stated, “You can try up until the end of eternity and it will still not happen,” indicating that he believes the best course of action is to push for cultural change that will eventually lead to these employees leaving the company.
In addition to advocating for the removal of dissenters, Sadiq emphasized the need for employees to actively be “anti-racist.” He urged individuals to use their power, privilege, and positions to promote equity for marginalized groups. Sadiq also encouraged employees to attend DEI events and engage with the structures put in place to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Sadiq was joined by other panelists, including Goldman Sachs Chief Diversity Officer Megan Hogan, Harvard Business School Executive Fellow Deepa Purushothaman, and UPenn Professor Lisa Fairfax. Fairfax, who has previously spoken at the confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justice Kentaji Brown Jackson, promoted several radical ideas without pushback from her co-hosts. She criticized any efforts to separate DEI initiatives from a focus on race, calling it “hurtful and concerning.” Fairfax also expressed confusion over those who do not see the connection between DEI and fighting antisemitism.
This leaked audio comes just weeks after UPenn President Liz Magill resigned after facing criticism for failing to address rampant leftist antisemitism on campus. Despite this, Fairfax claimed that she does not understand those who view DEI and fighting antisemitism as opposing ideas.
This Zoom call highlighted the radical leftist ideology of individuals in top positions at Warner Bros Discovery, and their determination to push for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace regardless of dissenting opinions.
It also emphasized the need for employees to actively engage with these initiatives and use their positions to promote equity and change. This leaked audio serves as a reminder that the push for diversity and inclusion is becoming increasingly radicalized and any opposition to it will not be tolerated.
