New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker made headlines this week for his 25-hour marathon speech on the Senate floor, a self-serving spectacle that reeked of political grandstanding rather than genuine leadership. While liberal media outlets like USA Today and the Associated Press fawned over Booker’s endurance, the reality is far less impressive.
Booker’s stunt was nothing more than a desperate attempt to stay relevant in a party that has already left him behind—a sad display from a man who failed to gain traction in the 2020 presidential race and now resorts to cheap theatrics to protest the successful policies of President Donald Trump.
Booker’s preparation for the speech was as extreme as it was unnecessary. He admitted to dehydrating himself and not eating for days just to avoid a bathroom break—an absurd and frankly unhealthy approach to governance. Instead of working with Republicans to find real solutions, Booker chose to waste time with a performative filibuster, delaying critical legislative business while achieving nothing of substance.

Other than it did lead to questions about drug testing representatives. Did you see his eyes?!!?
His speech, which he claimed was an act of “resistance” against President Trump, was little more than a regurgitation of tired left-wing talking points, attacking Trump’s efficient government reforms and fearmongering about cuts to Social Security.
What Booker and his allies in the liberal media won’t tell you is that President Trump’s policies have strengthened the economy, secured America’s borders, and restored American leadership on the world stage.
While Democrats like Booker engage in meaningless theatrics, Trump is delivering real results for the American people. Booker’s marathon speech was a transparent attempt to distract from his own political failures, including his embarrassing 2020 presidential campaign, where he dropped out after failing to meet debate qualifications.
