Fox News managed to capture a pro-Palestine protester meticulously crawling up to the top of a huge sculpture located within the Hart Senate Office Building. Wearing a mask and carrying a banner reading “Love People, Choose Life,” the protester hid away in the “Mountains and Clouds” sculpture that was created by Alexander Calder.
According to Fox News’ Bill Hemmer, the protester hid away for an undisclosed amount of time before authorities had to utilize a ladder to take him and his rope-tied wrist down. The source of conflict lies in the fact that this specific protester was the only one who remained uncooperative, resulting in a total of 40 arrests for laws regarding overcrowding, obstructing, and incommoding.
The protesters had charged into the Senate building, simultaneously chanting “Ceasefire Now” in regards to the Israel-Hamas War. The response to this was tremendous, and not in a positive sense of the word.
The House Committee on Education and The Workforce, chaired by Rep. Virginia Foxx, conducted a formal investigation into Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and MIT in response to the “morally bankrupt” testimony from each of the institutions’ three presidents. This hearing was especially mired in controversy, mostly due to Rep. Elise Stefanik’s pressing question whether or not “calling for the genocide of Jews” would violate the respective universities’ code of conduct — an answer that she, unfortunately, did not get.

Foxx spoke to Fox News Digital later stating, “The Committee is opening a formal investigation into the learning environments at Harvard, UPenn, and MIT and their policies and disciplinary procedures. This investigation will include substantial document requests, and the Committee will not hesitate to utilize compulsory measures including subpoenas if a full response is not immediately forthcoming.”
What started out as a peaceful protest turned out to be a sea of legal proceedings, prompting a feverish investigation into the universities in which numerous bodies are involved. It remains unclear whether the outcome of this situation will reflect neutrality, or is headed towards a tumultuous and inevitable end.
