I doubt anyone is really trying to guess who the ‘most consequential Republican in the country’ really is. President Trump motivated and united the Republican party in ways that had not accomplished since Ronald Reagan. South Carolina’s Senator Lindsey wasn’t just pointing out the obvious during this week’s news conference, however.
He was warning the Republican lawmakers that the fastly approaching midterm elections are coming up and that the party needs Trump’s energy now more than ever. Many of those lawmakers who are at risk of losing their seats in Congress, turned their backs on Trump during Democrats’ bogus impeachment circus out of fear their careers would be swallowed by the liberal’s cancel culturists.
“How are you going to run some of these races?” asked one reporter.
“President Trump is the most consequential Republican in the country. He’s the leader of the party. For us to be successful in 2022, we’re going to need his help,” said Graham.
“The fact that the Democrats blame Trump says a lot about their playbook. No matter what the problem, Trump caused it. They caused this. They changed policies that were working,” he added. “That’s why you have more asylum seekers. The fact that President Biden has not visited the border is pretty astonishing to me.”

Back in February, Trump snapped at the Biden administration at the Orlando CPAC:
“None of us even imagined just how bad they would be and how far left they would go,” Trump said, calling the Biden administration “anti-jobs, anti-family, anti-borders, anti-energy, anti-women and anti-science.”
“In just one short month, we have gone from ‘America First’ to ‘America Last,’” he said.
The GOP has everything riding on the 2022 elections. If they lose again, it would give Democrats the powers of both the House and Senate until 2024, when Biden’s 4-year term finally ends.
