Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem didn’t hold back during her appearance on Fox News Sunday, slamming a federal judge’s temporary restraining order that obstructed ICE operations in Southern California. The Biden-appointed judge’s decision is just the latest example of judicial overreach, where liberal activists in robes prioritize politics over public safety. Noem, a steadfast ally of President Donald Trump, made it clear that this ruling is not just wrong—it’s dangerous.
“This Federal judge’s ruling is ridiculous,” Noem told host Shannon Bream. “We never ran our operations that way. We always built our operations, our investigations on case work, on knowing individuals that we needed to target because they were criminals.”
Noem’s frustration is justified. For years, ICE has operated under strict legal protocols, targeting violent offenders and criminal aliens who pose a direct threat to American communities. Yet, time and again, left-wing judges—many appointed by Biden—have blocked enforcement efforts, putting innocent lives at risk. “It’s been done exactly how law enforcement has operated for many years in this country, and ICE is out there making sure we get the worst of the worst off of the streets,” Noem added.
But this isn’t just about one judge. It’s about a systemic effort by the liberal establishment to undermine law enforcement and shield criminal illegal aliens from deportation. Noem didn’t mince words when calling out this judicial activism: “We’ve seen this across the country over and over and over again where judges are getting political. It’s not their job. I hope they can bring some dignity back to the bench because we certainly are lacking it now from many of these Federal judges.”
The liberal media, of course, has remained silent on this judicial v. Instead of holding activist judges accountable, they amplify narratives that paint ICE as the villain while ignoring the crimes committed by those they protect. This is the same media that spent years attacking President Trump’s immigration policies—policies that kept Americans safe and reduced illegal crossings. Now, under Biden’s weak leadership, the border is in chaos, and even when ICE tries to do its job, left-wing judges stand in the way.
