Watch: Kid Rock Breaks On Bud Light Reaction With Tucker: ‘They Got The Message’

Musician Kid Rock appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Twitter show to express his thoughts on Bud Light’s recent viral reaction to their promotion of a transgender influencer. By addressing the audience, Rock explained who his consumers are and why this incident was so disturbing to him, as well as the many who shared his sentiment.

“It was an excuse to get out my machine gun and have some fun,” Rock stated. He additionally remarked that the issues started when Bud Light shifted their headquarters from St. Louis to New York City in 2014, and “Ivy League progressives” took control.

When asked about how he was able to respond so quickly, Rock noted that it was “spot on” for him and a chance to voice his opinion on the unacceptable incident.

“Yes, it was a mistake. Do I want to hold their head underwater and drown them because they made a mistake? No, I think they got the message. Like, hopefully, other companies get it too, but, you know, at the end of the day I don’t think the punishment that they’ve been getting at this point fits the crime,” Rock stated.

Regardless, Rock believes it is best to move on and learn from this event than to destroy it, emphasizing, “Someone gets taught a lesson they say ‘we made a mistake.’ Alright man, let’s move on. I mean we’ve done it for a whole lot worse. What about Japan? Germany?”

I don’t think I am as forgiving as Rock…

Punishments for Bud Light’s mistake have been severe, causing the company to lose an estimated $27 billion in market value since Mulvaney’s ad first aired. After responding to the situation in several ways, Rock believes a message was sent and it is time to move on.

Regardless, Rock insists, “It’s not about destroying people, it’s about improving. I want to see us get back on board and become bigger because that’s the America I want to live in.”  It is clear to see that despite feeling compelled to challenge Bud Light, Kid Rock is also an advocate for learning and growing amid adverse circumstances.
