These rumors have been amplified by individuals like Shawn Ryan, with his podcast guest Jonathan Howard claiming that the National Guard was forced to load a plane with aid just for a photo op, and that the plane never actually delivered the supplies.
However, the North Carolina National Guard has set the record straight and put these rumors to rest. According to Lt. Ellis Parks, Director of Public Affairs for the NC National Guard, the plane that was loaded with supplies did leave the base the next morning and successfully delivered the aid. The initial C-17 had mechanical issues and was replaced with a different one, but the relief efforts were not affected.
Parks also clarified that the decision to load the C-17 with supplies was not a request from the vice president’s office, but rather a pre-planned mission to help those in need. The National Guard had been working tirelessly to distribute aid to those affected by the hurricanes, and Vice President Harris’ visit did not interfere with these efforts. In fact, a National Guard official stated that they were focused on helping the people of Asheville and not simply trying to impress the vice president.
These rumors are just another attempt by the media to discredit the Biden administration and create a false narrative. It is clear that Vice President Harris and the National Guard were focused on providing aid to hurricane-affected areas, and their efforts should be commended instead of twisted and distorted for political gain. Yet, the liberal media and pundits continue to push this false narrative, ignoring the facts and spreading lies.

The media and Democrats are trying to politicize the response to Hurricane Milton, with Vice President Harris accusing Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of playing “political games.” But Governor DeSantis has pushed back, calling out these accusations as a possible campaign stunt.

President Biden, unfortunately, failed to defend his own administration when asked about the issue, instead choosing to praise DeSantis and his response to the hurricanes. It is clear that the Democrats are using this natural disaster to score points and further their own political agendas, instead of focusing on helping those in need.
The rumors and accusations surrounding Vice President Harris’ visit to the Carolinas are baseless and have been debunked. We must not let the media and Democrats twist the truth and use tragedies for their own gain. The Biden administration and the National Guard are working hard to assist those affected by the hurricanes, and their efforts deserve recognition and support, not false accusations and political attacks.
