WATCH: NYPD Bodycam Shows Officers Fatally Shoot Woman Who Stabbed Two in Times Square

The NYPD has released bodycam footage showing officers confronting Pamela Cisneros, the woman identified as having stabbed two people in Times Square last month.

One victim was Erin Piacenti, a 32-year-old Bank of America executive from Chester, New Jersey. She was fatally stabbed in what NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch described as an “unprovoked attack” during a press conference.

Cisneros, 49, was identified as the woman who carried out the attack with two kitchen knives. A 68-year-old man was also stabbed in the stomach. He survived.

The bodycam footage shows officers attempting to get Cisneros to drop the knives and surrender peacefully. Officer Ryan Brito told her, “Put the knife down.”

Cisneros answered, “Come and get me!”

Officer Francis Gagliano responded, “I don’t want to get you.”

The exchange continued as officers tried to de-escalate the situation. Cisneros said, “I’m tired of this world already,” followed by, “Tired of this sh*t.”

Brito continued speaking with her and tried again to persuade her to put the knives down. He said, “I get it. The world is hard, especially New York City. I know New York City is hard. Trust me, we all suffer.”

The footage then captured an exchange about faith. When Brito asked, “You believe in God?” Cisneros responded, “No, not anymore. You’re going to have to kill me. Either that, or I’m going to kill all of you.”

Brito kept trying to reach her. “Listen, I know you’re going through a lot, but it’s not worth it. It’s not worth it… I promise you,” he said.

Cisneros did not drop the knives. Instead, she began charging toward the officers.

The officers used Tasers, but they failed to stop her. Police then fatally shot Cisneros as she moved toward them with the knives.

The release puts the focus on the officers’ attempts to de-escalate the confrontation before using deadly force. The footage shows Brito and Gagliano giving Cisneros repeated opportunities to surrender while she continued refusing to put down the weapons.

The incident began with Piacenti’s fatal stabbing in Times Square and the stabbing of a 68-year-old man. Police later identified Cisneros as the attacker. The NYPD footage shows how the confrontation ended after the Tasers failed and Cisneros charged at officers.
