Former President Donald Trump held a press conference at Mar-a-Lago where he invited the family members of victims impacted by the policies of the Biden-Harris administration. Gold star mother-in-law Christy Shamblin and angel mom Tammy Nobles came forward to share their heartbreaking stories ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’ major campaign speech in Washington, D.C on Tuesday.
Nobles’ daughter, Kayla Hamilton, was brutally raped and strangled to death by an MS-13 gang member in 2022. Nobles blames the Biden-Harris administration for not doing their job and believes her daughter would still be alive if they had. She also revealed that the suspect, Walter Martinez, entered the country illegally through Texas and was released by Border Patrol to reside in Maryland. Trump pointed out that Harris’ border and economic policies, along with her actions during the Afghanistan withdrawal, are “disqualifying” for her to serve as commander-in-chief.
Trump said, “Kamala’s cruel and immoral actions on our border are actually disqualifying in my opinion,” adding that she is “an unfit person” who knew what was going on and did nothing to stop it. He also mentioned the 13 soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan and how the world lost respect for the US due to the administration’s handling of the situation. Trump then criticized Harris for causing “untold misery” through her economic policies.
Shamblin’s daughter-in-law, Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee, was one of the 13 service members who died during the botched Afghanistan withdrawal. Shamblin emotionally shared that instead of planning family gatherings and celebrations, her family now visits Gee’s grave at Arlington National Cemetery. She also pointed out that there are thousands of wounded veterans from the war who need help, but are being ignored by the Biden-Harris administration.
Trump attended a ceremony honoring the 13 service members on the third anniversary of the withdrawal while President Joe Biden and Harris were not in attendance. This highlights the lack of accountability and responsibility from the current administration. Furthermore, the Biden-Harris administration’s policies have led to a surge in illegal immigration, with over 2 million illegal encounters in the past three fiscal years. These numbers greatly exceed the numbers from the Trump administration.
It’s clear that Trump’s criticisms of Harris and the current administration are not unfounded. Their policies have directly caused harm and suffering to American citizens, as well as our military service members. However, this is not the narrative that is perpetuated by liberal media outlets.
They often downplay or ignore these tragedies and instead, focus on promoting the agenda of the left. It’s time for the truth to be heard and for the Biden-Harris administration to be held accountable for their failures. It’s also time for the mainstream media to stop covering for them and start reporting the facts. The American people deserve to know the truth.
