The Democrats’ latest political weapon is an old one: weaponizing the justice system for their own ends. This was on full display on Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s The View as the cackling coven desperately tried to defend the weak case made against former President Trump by New York D.A. Alvin Bragg.
“A lot of Republicans are calling this politically motivated. And some people on both sides of the aisle say the case is weak,” moderator Whoopi Goldberg reluctantly admitted. She then asked the panel if it was the job of the prosecutor to bring the case and prove it. Racially charged co-host Sunny Hostin then chimed in, claiming that the charges against Trump were one of the D.A. office’s “bread and butter cases” and that they were “really good” at prosecuting.
Hostin then argued that the case against Trump would be “easy” to prove because he has a unique signature: “And what’s so easy about this case, is that Trump has a really distinguishable – um – distinct handwriting. And it’s like Trump! With big black like letters. And it would – it would be so easy to prove.”
Joy Behar then suggested that “maybe” the people calling the case “weak” were simply suggesting it just didn’t stack up to stronger cases “coming down the pike.” Sara Haines followed up, arguing that “it wasn’t a weak case” but rather “a grey-area case.”
It’s clear that the panel was grasping at straws in a desperate attempt to defend the weak case. It’s a sad reminder of how far the Democrats are willing to go in order to score political points. And it’s a reminder that we need to be vigilant in our fight against the weaponization of the justice system for political ends.
Hostin ended the segment by whining that people were trying to “diminish the importance of this case.” But the truth is the case is weak and the Democrats know it. Bragg has to prove he can use a federal election law to elevate the misdemeanor charge to a felony which has never been resolved by any appellate court in New York. It’s clear that the Democrats are reaching because state election laws don’t apply to federal elections.
WILL D.A. BRAGG'S CASE AGAINST TRUMP HOLD UP IN COURT? After former Pres. Trump plead not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records and then aired a litany of grievances in his post-arraignment remarks, #TheView co-hosts react. https://t.co/cVclFZQmjA pic.twitter.com/8JD3dBu0OR

The weaponization of the justice system by the Democrats is unacceptable and must be stopped. We must remain vigilant and fight against this dangerous trend.
The reality is that Biden’s approval is trash and he still has nothing to run on in 2024 except ‘never Trump’. He needs this indictment and is likely hoping it’ll run on for at least a year or so.
