CNN host Brianna Keilar faced backlash after forcing Democratic Congressman Dan Goldman of New York to watch a video of himself reassuring the public that President Joe Biden would never pardon his son Hunter. Keilar’s biased questioning visibly shook Goldman, as she pressed him on his previous statements.
Goldman had previously stated on CNN that he “did not think there was any chance” Biden would pardon Hunter. However, the president did just that, releasing a statement on Sunday night alleging that Hunter had been “singled out” and “broken” by his political opponents in the court system. Keilar played the clip of Goldman’s statement before asking him how it felt to see himself proven wrong by Biden’s actions.
“What does that feel like watching yourself back then reassuring people that Biden was not going to issue a pardon for his son?” Keilar prodded Goldman, clearly hoping to elicit a negative response.
Goldman, to his credit, remained composed and responded by saying that if the original plea agreement had gone through, there would be no need for a pardon. However, he cited Republican intervention in the case and theunique circumstances surrounding Hunter’s prosecution as reasons for the president’s decision to pardon him.
Keilar continued to push Goldman, asking him how it felt to see Biden “go back on his word.” But Goldman stood firm, explaining that in light of the political climate and the attacks Hunter had faced as a private citizen, he could understand why the president felt a pardon was necessary.
Despite Goldman’s measured responses, Keilar’s blatant bias and attempts to paint Biden in a negative light did not go unnoticed by viewers. Many took to social media to criticize her for her unprofessionalism and bias towards the Democratic party.
The liberal media has long been known for their biased coverage and attempts to undermine conservative politicians, and this instance is no different. Keilar’s actions are just another example of the media’s unwavering support for the left and their attacks on anyone who disagrees with them, including President Trump.
As for Hunter Biden, the president’s son has had a troubled past, with multiple felony charges and convictions. Many believe that his connection to his father, now the most powerful man in the country, played a significant role in his pardon. Despite this, the liberal media continues to defend the Bidens and paint them as victims, rather than holding them accountable for their actions.
