Whoopi, The View, And The Epstein Files?

Whoopi, The View, And The Epstein Files?

The latest batch of Department of Justice documents includes references to multiple members of ABC’s The View. The mentions appeared after a search of the files turned up numerous hits for cast names.

The counts reported: Whoopi Goldberg is referenced 21 times, Alyssa Farah Griffin 20 times, Joy Behar three times, and Ana Navarro twice. Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines were not mentioned in this release.

One email in the files shows someone contacting Jeffrey Epstein about arranging a flight for Whoopi Goldberg to attend a charity event in Monaco. The message includes the line: “Whoopi Goldberg needs a plane to get to Monaco. John Lennon’s Charity is paying for it. They don’t want to charter so they are looking for private owners,” which appears in the documents.

The records suggest a request was made for use of Epstein’s Gulfstream G2 in 2013 to help Goldberg reach a White Feather Foundation event. The files include other references and contextual notes tied to journalists and media personalities.

Here are the documents and social posts reporting the findings. They come from public DOJ releases and media reporting that searched those releases.

Many people will read these mentions and draw quick conclusions. That’s understandable. But a name in a public file doesn’t automatically mean wrongdoing. Mentions can be routine, administrative, or tied to simple requests and correspondence.

Reporters who dug through the files note that, despite frequently discussing Epstein-related topics on air, cast members did not, at the time of these reports, publicly address the fact that their names appeared in the documents.

The discovery has already sparked reactions on social media and commentary outlets. Those items are part of the public discussion and are why the DOJ releases matter: they let people see original records rather than just summaries.

Expect follow-ups. Journalists and attorneys will likely parse the files more, looking for context and clarity. Any serious claim requires looking at the actual documents and the surrounding facts.

For now, the takeaway is simple: several names linked to a prominent daytime show appear in the public file releases. Context matters. More digging will tell us what, if anything, it actually means.
