Many of us who have been following President Joe Biden’s impeachment inquiry and his son’s questionable business partnerships believe that the “big guy” mentioned in the text messages between Hunter Biden and his business associates is indeed the older Biden himself. However, during the latest round of testimony, it appears that our suspicions may be more than just instincts.
On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee questioned former Biden business associate Tony Bobulinski in an effort to investigate whether Joe Biden should be impeached. The hearing, titled “Influence Peddling: Examining Joe Biden’s Abuse of Public Office,” aimed to explore evidence that Biden had lied about his family’s business dealings and even interacted with his son’s foreign business associates who were funneling them millions of dollars.
One clip of the testimony, shared by conservative YouTuber Benny Johnson on the social media platform X, showed Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio leading the inquiries. Jordan responded to a fellow congressman’s statement about Biden being opposed to corruption by bringing up the fact that Biden had leveraged a billion dollars of American tax money to fire a prosecutor in Ukraine who was investigating Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of the company Hunter Biden sat on the board of. Jordan then asked Bobulinski, “Mr. Bobulinski, who’s the ‘big guy’?” Bobulinski confidently replied, “Joe Biden,” and when asked if he was sure, stated, “I’m 1,000 percent sure.” It was clear that Bobulinski’s testimony was not favorable for the Bidens.
Jordan then pressed Bobulinski about the identity of the “big guy,” posing the question whether it was Joe Biden. Bobulinski replied that he was “a thousand percent” sure and that he had other text messages to back up this claim. The fact that Bobulinski was so certain in his answer, and even claimed to have proof, was a major development in this hearing.
At this point, it cannot be concluded with certainty that this is proof that Biden used his political power to personally benefit from foreign business deals. However, Bobulinski’s unwavering confidence and declaration that Biden was the “big guy” is a significant step in the right direction. If his claims are proven to be true, it would mean that not only is Biden a corrupt liar, but he is also not fit to be the president of the United States.
Putting aside for a moment Biden’s obvious cognitive decline, the fact that he may have been involved in illegal influence peddling on such a large scale is enough to disqualify him from the presidency. With the current immigration crisis and Biden’s declining mental capacity, coupled with the possibility of concrete evidence of illegal foreign business dealings, it seems highly unlikely that he will be running for re-election in 2024.

It seems that things are not looking good for Biden. If Bobulinski can provide the necessary proof that not only did the younger Biden lie under oath, but the older Biden was also the “big guy” pulling the strings, then this impeachment inquiry will become much more significant. It is safe to say that, with everything currently going on, 2024 may not be Biden’s year after all.
