The liberal media’s bias is on full display when it comes to reporting on political corruption. Just look at the recent exchange between journalist Matt Taibbi and MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan.
Ironically, the segment began with Hasan admitting that Taibbi is an award-winning jounolist known for sticking up for the little guy and targeting big corruption. Unfortunately there, Hasan’s honesty in this report ends there.
Hasan questioned Taibbi’s recent appearance before Congress, where he refused to reveal his sources despite Democratic Texas Rep. Sylvia Garcia repeatedly demanding answers. Hasan then played a clip from Taibbi’s 2021 appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience where he said that as a journalist, once you start getting handed stories, it’s a bad line to have crossed.
Taibbi’s response was epic. He clapped back by pointing out that MSNBC “did nothing but vomit up fake Russian hit stories that came straight from the FBI for six consecutive years, [and] you guys still haven’t apologized for it.” Damn.
And it’s true. Both Fox and the Wall Street Journal turned down the Hunter Biden laptop story initially, yet Hasan was quick to dismiss it as insignificant and part of a “liberal media conspiracy to suppress” the truth.
This kind of biased reporting only serves to further erode public trust in the media. It’s no wonder people are turning to independent journalists like Taibbi, who are willing to report without fear or favor and tell it like it is.
Big tech censorship and the Justice system’s leniency towards the politically connected are also major concerns. It’s almost as if the rich and powerful are above the law, while the rest of us get punished for the smallest of offenses.
This needs to change. We need to hold our politicians and media outlets accountable and demand they be truthful and impartial. We need to fight the censorship of independent journalists and make sure they have the freedom to do their job without fear of retribution. We need to make sure justice is served and the guilty are punished, no matter who they are.
It’s time for the people to stand up and make sure our voices are heard and our rights are respected. We deserve a free and fair media and a justice system that works for all of us, not just the privileged few. We can do this, but only if we take a stand and make sure our leaders know we won’t tolerate lies, injustice, and censorship any longer.
Here's an example of @mehdirhasan, contrary to his new excuse-making, saying a word about the Hunter Biden story: all intended at minimizing it, and the censorship that came with it. pic.twitter.com/4vu6opItyW
