Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland has once again shown her support for the woke agenda, this time by releasing a cringeworthy video featuring herself speaking with a “professional homosexual” drag queen at the Stonewall National Monument.
In the promo video, Haaland and the drag queen, going by the name “Pattie Gonia,” make their way to the Stonewall National Monument in New York City, where they celebrate the start of National LGBTQ History Month. The purpose of the video, according to Haaland’s tweet, is to highlight how monuments like Stonewall are essential in telling the “full and honest” story of America. However, the real purpose seems to be pushing the radical LGBTQ agenda further into the mainstream.
It is disturbing to see the Secretary of the Interior, whose role is to oversee the management of our natural resources and cultural heritage, instead using her platform to promote divisive and controversial topics like drag queens and queer rights. As if the radical agenda of Pride Month wasn’t enough, now we have another full month dedicated to celebrating and promoting the LGBTQ community, thanks to the Biden administration.
The video features “Pattie Gonia” dressed in a female park ranger’s uniform and knee-high leather boots, discussing why places like Stonewall are important for telling America’s story. But the real reason behind their visit, as Haaland aptly puts it, is to “honor” the “resistance, joy, and liberation” of the queer community. It is clear that the administration is using this video to push their woke narrative, rather than focusing on the true purpose of the National Park Service.
It’s ironic that this video comes just four months after Pride Month, yet another example of the liberal agenda trying to force their beliefs on the American people. But it doesn’t stop there. We also have October as National LGBTQ History Month, adding yet another month for the woke crowd to celebrate and further their agenda.
The Stonewall National Monument was established by former President Barack Obama’s administration in 2016, and has been under the management of the National Park Service ever since. This raises the question – is it appropriate for taxpayer-funded resources to be used for such divisive and controversial purposes? Shouldn’t our public lands be preserved and celebrated for their natural beauty, rather than being used to promote woke ideologies?
Melissa Schwartz, a spokesperson for the Department of the Interior, defended the video, saying “I’m so glad that readers of the Daily Caller will have the opportunity to learn more about equity and America’s public lands through our series on social media.” But what about those readers who may not share the same beliefs as the Biden administration? Where is the equity and inclusivity for them?

It’s time for the Biden administration to focus on their responsibilities and stop pushing divisive agendas on the American people. Our public lands and resources should be managed with utmost care and respect, not used for furthering woke ideologies. It’s time to put an end to the never-ending celebration of Pride and LGBTQ month after month, and focus on issues that truly matter to all Americans.
