California’s $170M Fraud Exposed — Watch Now

Nick Shirley dropped a new video this week. It’s raw. It’s pointed. And it accuses California of massive welfare fraud.

Shirley and his crew say they found more than $170,000,000 in apparent fraud across the state. They visited supposed daycares, learning centers, and hospices. They filmed empty rooms. They filmed people living in expensive homes while claiming taxpayer support.

“We uncovered over $170,000,000 in fraud as these fraudsters live in luxury with no consequences,” Nick Shirley said.

He points to Medi‑Cal spending as a red flag. Medi‑Cal is California’s version of Medicaid. Shirley notes it has ballooned from $108 billion in 2022 to a proposed $222 billion in 2026. The population hasn’t doubled. The spending has. That, he says, is a problem taxpayers should demand answers about.

“California’s version of Medicaid called ‘Medi‑Cal’ has more than doubled since 2022 from $108 billion to a proposed $222 billion in 2026. Their population, however, has not grown exponentially. However, their spending has,” Nick Shirley said.

The video calls special attention to hospice claims in Los Angeles County. Shirley says there’s been “a 1,000 percent increase in hospice care in Los Angeles County.” He warns the total fraud in California could be in the hundreds of billions.

“There has been a 1,000 percent increase in hospice care in Los Angeles County,” Nick Shirley said. It’s estimated that the fraud in California could be in the hundreds of billions of dollars.”

Shirley also revisits tactics he exposed in Minnesota. In December, he said he found more than $110 million in Somali‑linked fraud in one day. He shows similar patterns here: centers listed as caring for dozens of children but empty when his team knocks. One operator allegedly screamed and called police when asked why no children were present.

Nick Shirley visited ‘hospices’ in Los Angeles and ‘daycares’ in San Diego. The confrontations are in the footage. The claims are blunt. The message is clear: taxpayers deserve answers and consequences.

“In this 51 minute video David and I expose another $16 Million in fraud as Minnesota welfare programs continue to operate fraudulently and steal from law‑abiding taxpayers,” Nick Shirley said in January.
