VA Parents Unite To Protest School District That Failed To Keep Students Safe

The dress-wearing teen who raped a few of his fellow female classmates in Loudoun County School has been found guilty and is awaiting sentencing for another trial in November for a separate sexual assault case. But this would never have happened at all had the school just stuck to separate bathrooms for each gender. But on top of trying to be “woke” the school also tried to keep the attacks in-house. One of the victim’s parents had to call the police in after finding the school was trying to handle it themselves.

The teenager accused of sexually assaulting a ninth-grade girl in a Loudoun County, Virginia, high school was found guilty on all charges.

The victim was assaulted in a women’s restroom at Stone Bridge High School by a male allegedly wearing a skirt. A juvenile court judge found the evidence enough to convict but will hold on sentencing until the convicted teenager, now 15, is tried for another alleged assault at a different high school.

Scott Smith, the victim’s father, was arrested at a school board meeting in June in which he says he got into an altercation with a woman who said that she didn’t believe his daughter was raped. The superintendent defended the school’s transgender bathroom policy at the meeting.

The assault against Smith’s daughter was reported on May 28, and the school told Smith they would handle it internally. He got the police involved, but on Oct. 6 the same boy who was convicted of the May assault was charged with another assault at a different high school.”

In light of these repeated attacks parents in the area came together to bring awareness to the lack of safety in the school district.

Dozens of Loudoun County students participated in a walkout [Tuesday] morning in protest of the recent sexual assault cases, making national headlines.

Around 10:45 [Tuesday] morning some Loudoun County Public School students walked out of their classrooms for about 10 minutes to take a stand against sexual assault.

It is important to note this was not student-led. Elicia Brand, the co-founder of Army of Parents, said it was inspired by parents. In fact, she sent fliers to different Loudoun County schools encouraging the walkouts. She adds this is not political, this is about making sure children are safe.

I have been contacted since the smith case by dozens of parents who had their kids sexually assaulted, sexually battered in the school system and the school never did anything about it,” said Brand.”

Just from the information gathered for this one article, it appears Loudoun Schools is by no means a safe school. Especially if the Army of Parent’s leader Elicia Brand has been contacted by dozens of parents about similar instances of sexual assault. Just how often is this school covering up sexual assault? It looks like they need more than a 10-minute protest, Administrators need to be replaced and girls should be excused from school until they can make the school safe for everyone.
