Guess Who Took A ‘Surprise’ Trip Overseas Follow Biden’s Filthy Plea Deal

The Biden administration’s handling of Hunter Biden’s tax evasion and gun crimes presents a clear conflict of interest. Attorney General Merrick Garland rushed to the Hague for a surprise visit conveniently right when the Department of Justice reached an agreement with the President’s son. Not only was he absent to comment on Hunter Biden’s plea deal, but it appears that his rushed trip serves to distance himself from the controversial decision.

By meeting with the International Criminal Court amid the Hunter Biden scandal, Garland is sending a loud message that the Biden administration is going to stand by the President’s son. This behavior flies in the face of impartial justice and raises doubts about the integrity of this highest law enforcement agency. The very presence of the Attorney General undermines the idea of justice being blind, when in actuality it appears to be blatantly biased and political.

The Obama-Biden administration moved to compensate Russian aggression in Ukraine effectively by lifting sanctions placed upon the ICC under the Trump administration. Though the Biden administration has applauded the ICC for taking on “war crimes,” Hunter Biden’s plea agreement stands in sharp contrast to the Justice Department rules which have held individuals like former President Donald Trump accountable for any and all actions he took while in office.

Former President Trump has been outspoken about the discrepancies in the way the Biden administration has treated his criminal charges in comparison to those of Hunter Biden. The 37 counts of mishandled classified documents at the Mar-a-Lago home have been dismissed as “election interference,” rather than what it appears to be, a breach of justice. The fact remains that the former President put the health and safety of Americans in danger with his action, yet the same standards that are being applied against him are not being applied to the President’s son.

Sending an Attorney General to the Hague to deceptively skew public perception of the Justice Department’s actions is not justice. The same consequences must be applied to all individuals, regardless of their affiliation to the President.

It is time to demand an impartial interpretation of our laws and holding everyone to the same standard. Merrick Garland’s “surprise” overseas visit is not an exception to this push for justice and equity.
