In her recent interview with MSNBC, Vice President Kamala Harris once again delivered a shocking display of incoherence. Garnering laughs rather than respect, Harris left viewers cringing with her inability to articulate her thoughts effectively. Ranging from nonsensical word salad to inappropriate gesticulations, she solidified herself as the epitome of a politician who consistently disappoints.
Harris began by stating, “You know, every election cycle we talk about this is the most election of our lifetime. Lawrence, this one is.” Not only did she struggle to construct a grammatically correct sentence, but she also failed to clarify what she meant by the superlative “most.” As RNC Research tweeted, “Another politician […] might have included a pause, air quotes or something to signify what the speaker meant by the superlative ‘most’ – most important, most decisive, most contentious, etc.” This further emphasizes Harris’ incompetence in conveying a coherent message.

Republican Gov. Jacob Cox of Ohio once described Democratic President Andrew Johnson as “obstinate without being firm, self-opinionated without being capable of systematic thinking, combative and pugnacious without being courageous.” These words, although spoken over a century ago, seem to perfectly describe Harris’ performance. She consistently falls short of even the lowest expectations and has shown herself to be “always worse than you expect.” (Cox, as quoted in “The Reconstruction Presidents”) It is no wonder that her public appearances inspire such disdain and mockery.
As a woman, I am mortified that Kamala Harris is the first female VP. She is an utter embarrassment.

Harris continued to baffle viewers with her statements, claiming that this upcoming election is “literally talking about people who are attempting to divide our country in the most crude, frankly, and profound way.” She then attempted to mimic President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s famous “four freedoms” speech, but she could not even do that successfully. While Roosevelt identified speech, worship, prosperity, and safety as the four freedoms at stake during the war, Harris twisted them into her own agenda. She claimed that women’s “freedom to make a decision about [their] own body” and the LGBTQ+ community’s “freedom to love who [they] love openly and with pride” were at risk. This gross misinterpretation lacks substance and further highlights Harris’ inability to hold a coherent thought.
Social media users were quick to mock Harris, calling her an “utter embarrassment” and labeling her performance “terrible” and “embarrassing.” It is mortifying that Harris is the first female vice president, and many women are appalled by her representation. They are disappointed and cringe at the thought of her being second in command.
Terrible! Embarrassing!

It is not only Harris who is a disappointment. President Joe Biden has shown time and time again that he, too, falls short. With his frequent gaffes and blunders, one can hardly expect much from his administration. Biden’s inability to articulate his thoughts effectively and his blatant disregard for the law have caused many Americans to lose faith in his leadership. As Harris said in her interview, “There’s never been an election this most election.” Perhaps she was onto something, for this current administration is undeniably one of the most incompetent in history.

Harris’ recent interview once again proved her to be an embarrassment and a disappointment. With her jumbled words, nonsensical statements, and inappropriate gesticulations, she solidified herself as the epitome of a politician who consistently disappoints. Along with Biden, her boss, Harris continues to let down Americans. It is not surprising that many have lost faith in the leadership of this current administration. As they have shown, they are “always worse than you expect.” (Cox, as quoted in “The Reconstruction Presidents”)
