Shokin Claims $350 Billion in Ukraine Aid Was Recycled Through Globalist Networks
Former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin is making a sweeping claim about the billions of dollars sent to Ukraine by American taxpayers.
In his book, Biden’s Corruption and War: The True Story of the 1 Billion Dollar Prosecutor, Shokin alleges that hundreds of billions tied to Ukraine were recycled through political interests and “globalist networks.” A Blaze Media column citing his first-person account says he claims $350 billion in U.S. taxpayer money moved through opaque channels during the chaos of war.
Shokin also alleges that arms arrangements were tainted by corruption. He claims wartime disorder helped facilitate the trafficking of Ukrainian women and children. His account portrays the conflict as more than a military struggle, arguing that it also became a vehicle for influence, corruption, and enrichment.
Those are serious allegations. They come from a former prosecutor who says he paid a personal price for getting too close to powerful interests. However, the claims remain allegations. Shokin’s book represents his case and does not independently establish every charge.
Before leaving office, Shokin was investigating Mykola Zlochevsky and Burisma Holdings. The Ukrainian energy company had placed Hunter Biden on its board and paid him a substantial salary for what the source describes as expertise he did not possess.
Shokin says his office was moving against Burisma, seizing assets, and getting close to connections involving the Biden family. He argues that Washington pressure intensified as the investigation advanced.
Joe Biden later described the pressure campaign in a widely circulated video. Biden said Ukrainian officials would not receive a billion dollars unless the prosecutor was removed. He then stated: “Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.”
Shokin’s book details what he describes as meetings, pressure, and influence involving then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. He says Biden was known in Ukraine as the “Vice King” and portrays the former vice president as wielding extraordinary influence over the Ukrainian government.
In an interview previously covered by The Gateway Pundit in August 2023, Shokin called it his “firm personal conviction” that his dismissal resulted from the Burisma investigation. He characterized the threatened withholding of the loan guarantee as corruption while cautioning that unproven facts should not be presented as established evidence.
