Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer didn’t hold back in his latest takedown of the corporate media’s shallow coverage of President Donald Trump’s historic summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. While Trump worked to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine—a monumental task that could save countless lives—the liberal press was fixated on trivialities like the color of the carpet and ceremonial details. Spicer, speaking on the 2WAY show, called out the media’s obsession with “process” over results, a recurring theme in their biased coverage of Trump’s presidency.
“I was sort of blown away … this has been the problem from Trump day one. They always worry about the process. ‘Oh my god, the carpet was red.’ Who gives a crap?” Spicer said. “If you get peace, if you stop people from killing and end the destruction, what the hell does it matter? And yet all of these people have their panties in a wad about, ‘Oh my god, he rolled out the thing.’”
Spicer’s frustration is justified. While Trump flexed American strength with a B-2 stealth bomber flyover—a clear message to Putin about U.S. military dominance—the media whined about optics rather than acknowledging the strategic brilliance behind the move. “Do you know what a flex it was to see that B2 fly over the top? Putin looks up. That wasn’t a tip of diplomacy,” Spicer noted. “That was a, ‘Hey buddy, guess what we got coming up your butt if you do this again. We just used it in Iran.’”
The liberal press, of course, has no interest in giving Trump credit where it’s due. For four years, they acted as propaganda arm for the Biden administration, burying scandals, downplaying cognitive decline, and spinning disastrous policies as “progress.” Now, with Trump back in office and delivering real results, they’re scrambling to distract from his successes with petty grievances.
Remember when the same media outlets that hyperventilated over Trump’s red carpet cheered as Biden bumbled through summits, read off notecards, and handed Afghanistan over to the Taliban? Their hypocrisy is staggering. Trump’s tough diplomacy, combined with a show of military might, is exactly what’s needed to deter aggression and secure peace—yet the press would rather nitpick staging choices than report on the substance.

The American people aren’t fooled. They remember how the media covered for Biden’s failures while obsessing over every minor detail of Trump’s presidency. Now, as Trump once again proves himself a master negotiator, the press is showing its true colors—prioritizing anti-Trump narratives over the safety and prosperity of the nation.
