Hillary Clinton Reportedly Plans Bill Clinton’s Funeral as Health Concerns Continue to Mount
Hillary Clinton has reportedly started preparing for the eventual funeral of her husband, former President Bill Clinton, as questions about his health continue to grow.
RadarOnline reported that Hillary, 78, is working on plans for an elaborate memorial service. At the same time, Bill is allegedly reviewing his estate and considering changes to a will reportedly worth $120 million. The report is based on unnamed insiders.
According to Radar, the tentative plan calls for a traditional funeral at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Bill Clinton would then reportedly be buried at or near the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas.
A presidential historian cited by the outlet speculated that Clinton might request burial near the library’s rooftop garden. The garden was described as one of the former president’s favorite retreats.
There is an important caveat. Funeral planning for former presidents does not automatically mean an immediate medical crisis is unfolding. A spokesperson for Washington National Cathedral told Radar that state funeral plans are being developed for all living former presidents.
Even so, the report comes as Clinton enters his ninth decade after years of serious health problems and more visibly frail public appearances. Clinton turned 80 on August 19. He has continued to attend public events, including the Obama Presidential Center dedication in June, but People magazine acknowledged that he has appeared “more visibly frail” in recent years.
Clinton’s recent public appearances have fueled similar concern. In June 2025, he reportedly appeared unsteady at a book-signing event and grabbed a pole to steady himself while approaching the building.
Two months later, members of Clinton’s entourage were seen carrying a Propaq MD medical bag as Bill and Hillary left the Hamptons. The bag contained a portable patient monitor and defibrillator, prompting renewed questions about the former president’s cardiac health.
Clinton’s medical history includes quadruple-bypass surgery in 2004 after doctors found significant arterial blockages. He underwent surgery for a partially collapsed lung in 2005 and received two coronary stents in 2010.
In October 2021, Clinton spent nearly a week at UC Irvine Medical Center after a urinary tract infection spread to his bloodstream. In December 2024, he was admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital with a fever and released the next day after treatment for the flu.
Radar also claimed Clinton may have changed his reported $120 million will. The outlet suggested there could be “surprises” involving the beneficiaries.
