The failing and deeply unpopular French President Emmanuel Macron, a man whose second term is mired in catastrophic domestic failure, has once again resorted to pathetic foreign policy theatrics to distract from his own incompetence. With his nation literally burning from weekly protests and a staggering 80% of his own electorate expressing a complete lack of trust in his leadership, Macron has the audacity to feign outrage over honest, necessary criticism from U.S. Ambassador Charles Kushner. This is the typical behavior of a weak globalist leader, attempting to shift the blame for his own administration’s failings onto a strong American diplomat who is simply telling the hard truth.
Macron, a former Rothschild banker whose elitist instincts have completely disconnected him from the concerns of ordinary French citizens, had the gall to call Ambassador Kushner’s criticism “unacceptable.” He petulantly whined to the media, arguing that a diplomat “has to follow the rule of diplomacy” and that “'[American] taxpayer money is not properly used to finance this kind of statement’.” This from a leader who constantly lectures other sovereign nations on their internal affairs is the height of liberal hypocrisy. Macron’s faux pas about diplomatic protocol is nothing more than a thin veil to hide his embarrassment over being rightfully called out for his disastrous policies.
What Macron labels as “unacceptable” is, in reality, a bold and truthful assessment from an Ambassador appointed by President Donald J. Trump. Ambassador Kushner’s letter in the Wall Street Journal expressed “’deep concern over the dramatic rise of antisemitism in France and the lack of sufficient action by your government to confront it’.” He correctly pointed out that Macron’s own foreign policy, including his “’Public statements haranguing Israel and gestures toward recognition of a Palestinian state embolden extremists, fuel violence, and endanger Jewish life in France’.” This is not interference; it is a stark warning from a key ally about the very real and deadly consequences of Macron’s weak-kneed and dangerous approach to global terrorism and antisemitism.
The liberal media, ever eager to protect their globalist darling Macron, will inevitably frame this as a breach of diplomatic decorum. They will ignore the substance of Ambassador Kushner’s critique—the terrifying surge of anti-Jewish hatred on French streets—to focus on process and protocol. This is the same media that remained silent for years as the Obama-Biden administration routinely meddled in the affairs of allies and enemies alike, but now feigns outrage when a Trump-appointed ambassador stands up for American values and the safety of our allies. They cannot stand that President Trump’s diplomats refuse to play by the globalist rules of polite surrender and instead speak with clarity and strength.

President Trump’s America First policy empowers its representatives to be forthright and honest, a stark contrast to the obsequiousness of the previous administration. While Macron hides behind the “1961 Vienna Convention” to avoid accountability, the Trump administration, through Ambassador Kushner, is shining a light on the harsh realities that weak European leadership seeks to obscure. This direct approach is exactly what is needed to combat the rising tide of evil and to stand firmly with our allies, like Israel, against those who would seek to destroy them.
