Abbott: No Chance Democrats Win Texas
Texas Governor Greg Abbott says there is “no chance” Democrats win statewide this November. He made the comments on Fox News and pushed a clear, confident message: Texas will stay red.
Abbott went straight at the usual talking points. He ridiculed talk of turning Texas blue and warned voters about what he called extreme Democratic policies.
“If I had a dollar for every time someone talked about turning Texas blue, I could buy Fox News.”
“There’s no chance Democrats are going to win the election, and I’ll tell you the reason why.”
“Right now, they are fighting to win the Democrat nomination. No one is exposing them for the leftists and socialists that they are.”
“Both of them have proven voting records of what they have done, whether it be in the Texas House or the United States Congress, that are going to be used against them.”
“We will show the contrast in November. These are people who are for open border policies. People who are in favor of defunding the police. People who are in favor of boys in girl’s sports.”
“Those policies don’t sell in the state of Texas. Texas is a common-sense bastion in a country that is reeling from this leftist agenda.”
“The voters of Texas will vote in favor of common sense this November.”

Abbott is running for a fourth full term as governor. He recently received the endorsement of President Donald Trump.

It remains unclear who will emerge from the Democratic primary. In 2022, Abbott beat Robert ‘Beto’ O’Rourke by more than 10 points. Abbott’s message now is simple: highlight the differences, keep the focus on border security, public safety, and cultural issues, and voters in Texas will choose what he calls common sense.
