A newly published analysis is drawing attention with claims about the reported health outcomes of children who received a COVID-19 shot. According to the source report, the analysis found higher rates of several conditions among vaccinated children compared with those who were unvaccinated.
The paper is titled “Neurodevelopmental Outcomes in COVID-19-Vaccinated Versus Unvaccinated U.S. Children: Analysis of the National Health Interview Survey, 2022–2024”. The Gateway Pundit report says it was published on Zenodo, described as a free, open-access research repository managed by CERN and OpenAIRE.
The researchers analyzed data involving 21,990 children from the National Health Interview Survey, or NHIS. The source describes NHIS as a major provider of health information on the U.S. civilian population. Nicolas Hulscher, identified in the report as an Epidemiologist and Foundation Administrator at the McCullough Foundation, told The Gateway Pundit, “We analyzed official U.S. government data from 21,990 children and found a consistent association between childhood COVID-19 vaccination and higher odds of autism, ADHD, anxiety, special-education use, and mental-health treatment.”
According to the report, the analysis identified a 32 percent increase in autism diagnoses and a 33 percent increase in ADHD among vaccinated children. It also reported a 23 percent increase in neurodevelopmental disorders, a 19 percent increase in the use of special-education services, a 24 percent increase in asthma, and a 27 percent increase in anxiety disorders.
The study also reported higher use of mental-health services. The source says vaccinated children showed a 57 percent increase in the use of mental-health medications and a 60 percent increase in the need for mental-health therapy.
Hulscher said the reported autism association remained after different adjustment strategies were used. He stated, “The autism association persisted across numerous adjustment strategies, strengthened with increasing dose count, and reached its largest estimate in some of the youngest multiply vaccinated children.”
He also highlighted a finding involving younger children, saying, “Among ages five to seven, three or more COVID shots were associated with 154 percent higher adjusted odds of current autism.”
The wording matters. The analysis describes associations between vaccination status and reported health outcomes. Those figures do not, by themselves, establish that vaccination caused the conditions. The report nevertheless presents the findings as a serious safety concern and argues that they should prompt a reassessment of current vaccination strategies and policies for children.
Hulscher called for immediate action, stating, “This is a safety signal that must not be ignored. Endangering the developing brain is a red line. COVID-19 “vaccination” of children should cease immediately.”
The findings are likely to intensify questions from parents and healthcare providers who are weighing the potential benefits and risks of COVID-19 vaccination for children. The source report argues that child safety and developmental health should remain the central priorities as officials review the data and consider whether existing strategies need to change.
The report was written by J.M. Phelps, whom the page identifies as a contributing writer focused on threats to the U.S. military and national security.
