In the age of liberal media, it has become all too common for them to use white guilt as a tool to stir up controversy. A perfect example of this is a recent Los Angeles Times article, titled “How White and Affluent Drivers Are Polluting the Air Breathed by L.A.’s people of Color,” written by Sammy Roth, an energy reporter.
On Friday’s The Ingraham Angle, Fox News host Laura Ingraham took on this article and exposed the liberal media’s manipulation of white people’s guilt.
Ingraham started by saying, “The list of what qualifies as ‘racist’ grows by the day. Gas stoves, English grammar, mathematics, words like “master bedroom” and “field office” — it’s all ‘racist.’ Now we can add cars and driving in general to that list.”
Ingraham continued by saying, “The fact is, left-wing policies have failed Black America on numerous fronts, from crime to the economy to education. Instead of admitting their own failures, they try to blame America itself. This practice of racial grievance has become its own subspecialty.”
In the article, Roth wrote, “As a white guy who’s lived on L.A.’s Westside for most of my life, I’ve benefited from the region’s sordid history as well. Much as I try to do my part — taking the train a couple times a month, walking to local coffee shops and restaurants instead of driving across the city — there’s no question I contribute to the inequitable air pollution that Boeing’s study describes.”
He said, “I couldn’t help but consider my own complicity while reading a new study from USC researchers.” It found “that Angelenos who drive more tend to be exposed to less air pollution, and Angelenos who drive less tend to be exposed to more pollution.”
Ingraham further commented on this by saying, “It’s quite obvious that part of Gavin Newsom’s climate crackdown is being pushed by the “news” media like the Los Angeles Times. They’re using white guilt to manipulate Californians and make their climate-crackdown laboratory a model for the rest of the country to follow.”
This type of manipulation is wrong and strips away the rights of American citizens. The conservative values of personal responsibility and American rights should be upheld. It’s pathetic really, the left still thinks they can manipulate Americans with guilt and shame.
