Israel’s PM Shows Biden How It’s Done, Here’s What’s Next For Violent Immigrants In His Country

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reached his limit in the face of escalating violence in Tel Aviv, and has called for the mass deportation of African migrants from the country. These people have managed to penetrate Israel’s borders and have become a longstanding presence in the country, drawing up serious doubts about the future of Israel as a Jewish and democratic nation.

In response to this, Netanyahu has put forward an ambitious plan to build a fence around the border that would prevent any further illegal infiltration from Africa. This plan was met with fierce resistance from both security forces and political parties, but he was able to firmly push it into legislation. However, there are still tens of thousands of people who managed to enter before the fence was placed, of which only 12 000 were voluntarily repatriated with the aid of incentives from the Netanyahu government. Unfortunately, the government also rejected a proposal from the United Nations which would give citizenship to 16 000 illegal infiltrators, as Netanyahu deemed this to be too generous and it could spur even more people to attempt infiltrating the country.

Matters then took a turn for the worse when intense fights and clashes broke out in Tel Aviv between the locals and immigrants from Eritrea and Sudan; many police officers were injured in the process of breaking them out. Netanyahu was left furious with the situation and will be implementing further steps to punish those responsible. This could even include swift deportations should the need arise. Additionally, he is calling on his government successors to override Parliament and formulate a comprehensive strategy that would guarantee the safe and orderly repatriation of the remaining illegal immigrants from Israel.

Watch

President Biden of the United States could learn a lesson from the Israeli Prime Minister’s attitude and decisiveness. Biden has been unable to protect the US from a surge in migrants, mainly due to the limited measures he put forward as well as the civil unrest that has prevented certain proposals from being put into force. Netanyahu’s move to build an effective wall for national security purposes, rather than allowing it to be overtaken by migrants, is the kind of strong leadership that Biden should be striving for.
