Democrats have been attempting to discredit whistleblowers for years and do you know why? It’s because they think they’re above the law. In the face of increasing corruption in the Democratic Party, Jim Jordan, the House Judiciary Committee chairman, has been a heroic figure, unafraid to stand up to them and fight for justice.
Recently, during a House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing, Jim Jordan and Democratic Texas Rep. Sylvia Garcia had a heated exchange over speaking time. When Sylvia Garcia carried over her five-minute round, Jordan announced that her time was up and attempted to turn to Republican California Rep. Darrell Issa for his five minutes. In response, Garcia attempted to continue her questioning.
The exchange went as follows:
Garcia: “Just this last February, whistleblowers who have been fired by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in retaliation for accusing him of crimes came to a settlement with the attorney general…,”
Jordan: “As you can see back here,” Garcia continued as Jordan banged his gavel, “he had to settle for $3.3 million because…”
Jordan then attempted to turn to Republican California Rep. Darrell Issa for his five minutes. However, Garcia continued to speak.
Garcia: “Gentlelady, this is my time. I’ve been recognized. Thank you,”
Issa: “I don’t need educating,” Garcia shot back. “I’m educated. Mr. Chairman, I did not need to be demeaned. I am a lawyer, just like this gentleman is. I too have read the law. We just have a big difference of opinion…”
Jordan: “The time belongs to me. Mr. Leavitt has been asked a question,” Jordan interrupted.
All Democrats, including Mrs. Garcia, seem to think that they are above the law and can do whatever they please. Unfortunately their arrogance leaves America’s whistleblowers unprotected.
In my opinion, Jim Jordan is a hero who is willing to fight for justice and demand accountability from the Democratic Party. His persistence and courage is such a blessing at a time when our democracy is so deeply divided. We need more brave leaders like Jim Jordan to stand up against corruption and fight for what is right.
