The mainstream media continues to unjustly target former Congressman Matt Gaetz. Despite being cleared by the Department of Justice, the House Ethics Committee persists in their pursuit of baseless allegations of sexual misconduct and drug use. However, it appears that the committee has decided to sweep the matter under the rug following Gaetz’s resignation last week, refusing to release their findings.
Republican Congressman Michael Guest, chairman of the Ethics Committee, stated that there was “not an agreement” to release the report, leaving many wondering if it will ever see the light of day. This decision was met with criticism from Democratic Congressman Sean Casten, who threatened to introduce a resolution for a full House vote on releasing the report.
It is concerning to see such blatant biased attacks on Republicans like Gaetz from the left. Despite the DOJ determining there was no evidence for charges, the Ethics Committee continued their investigation. Even more troubling is the leaked testimony to media outlets and the platform given to Gaetz’s accusers and their lawyer to perpetuate false accusations.
It’s clear that Gaetz has been a target of the left since he became a staunch ally of former President Trump. And his involvement in the removal of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a decision supported by Trump, only added to the ire of his critics. But let’s not forget that the investigation was based on allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor at a party, involving alcohol and drugs – allegations that Gaetz has vehemently denied.

Just like with the probe into Trump’s supposed ties to Russia, the left will stop at nothing to take down those who support the former president. It’s time to put an end to these partisan attacks and let the truth prevail. We must #DefendTrump and #SupportGaetz as we fight back against the biased and liberal media.
