Sen Mitch McConnell claimed that Liberals are trying to transform this country and it appears he is right. By no means is Biden moderate with the legislation he has passed. He is allowing for boys to be in the girl’s locker room and now he pushing Critical Race Theory in schools. If that were not enough he has also ruined our border when he dissolved the deal we had with Mexico, causing the border crisis we have now. So Senator Marsha Blackburn is trying to clean up after Biden, which is a tall order, and she is proposing legislation to fix the border.
“Dubbed the Make the Migrant Protection Protocols Mandatory Act, the bill would require migrants who cross the southern border without proper documentation to remain in Mexico until their case is heard. President Biden reversed the Migrant Protection Protocols by executive order upon entering the White House earlier this year.
“President Biden’s failed immigration policies have created a crisis at our southern border,” Blackburn said in a statement. “Over half a million illegal aliens have poured across our southern border since Biden decided to repeal President Trump’s successful policy that forced migrants to remain in Mexico while seeking asylum. My legislation will stop Biden’s decision to catch and release migrants into our communities and reinstate President Trump’s Remain in Mexico program.”
“Administration officials have pushed back on criticism of the president’s policy rollbacks, arguing that Biden inherited a neglected and inhumane immigration system.”
If Biden were looking to fix the border this is the easiest way possible, just redo what Trump did. Trump gave us secure borders, no one can argue otherwise. But Liberals want open borders and they know that most Americans don’t, so it seems like they are purposefully not fixing the border. This way they get the extra voters without having to admit this was the plan the whole time. So it’s likely Senator Blackburn’s legislation is never going to go anywhere as Dems are against securing our borders and making Americans safer.
