Fox News and CBS polls have shown an increase in support for President Trump among Black voters from 12% in the 2020 election to 26%. This fact has been dismissed by some CNN guests as they claim these polls are talking to “imaginary black folks” and that some Black Trump supporters may have been paid to express their support.
During a segment on CNN, commentator Angela Rye expressed her doubt about the validity of these polls, stating that she has not seen these Black Trump supporters anywhere and questioning who the pollsters are talking to. She went on to suggest that some of these individuals may be paid to say positive things about the former president.
Rye also brought up a recent Trump ad targeting Black women voters, suggesting that these supporters may have been reading from a script or being paid to express their support. She further dismissed the polls, stating that they have been wrong in the past and that she does not believe the reported numbers.
However, recent reports and statements from Black voters directly contradict Rye’s claims. In a Sky News segment, Black men in Georgia voiced their support for Trump, citing his economic policies and strong personality. Other voters also told The New York Times that they were tired of the Democrats’ pandering and found it insulting.
Moreover, Black voters outside of the Democratic National Committee have openly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, saying that she does not care about them. This sentiment has been echoed by many voters who feel that Harris is more concerned with performative actions and pandering than actually addressing the issues affecting the Black community.
In contrast to the Democrats, Team Trump’s Black Media Director Janiyah Thomas has stated that Black voters see President Trump as a better option. They believe that their lives were better during his presidency, with increased wealth, safety, and confidence. Thomas also highlighted the efforts of Team Trump in engaging with the Black community on a national level, rather than just focusing on pandering in deep blue cities.

These disregard for the growing support for President Trump among Black voters is not surprising, as the Democrats and liberals have continuously underestimated and ignored the needs and wants of this demographic. Instead of engaging with these voters and addressing their concerns, they dismiss them as “imaginary” or paid for their support.
The increasing support for President Trump among Black voters is a significant development that cannot be ignored. It is a testament to the positive impact of his policies and his efforts to engage with this community. Dismissing this support and the polls as false or paid for only highlights the disconnect between the Democrats and their supposed support for minority communities.
