Delta Passenger Removed After Reported Threats and Racial Slurs at JFK

A Delta passenger was removed from an Atlanta-bound flight at New York’s JFK Airport on Thursday after reportedly making threats and launching into what was described as a drunken rant before takeoff.

Reports say police were called to the aircraft after the man reportedly began shouting expletives and using the n-word. According to podcast host Shawn Wasson, a tipster on board described the passenger as “yelling and making threats on the plane ultimately screaming death to America and making gun noises.”

The same tipster added, “He then cried about how he’s going to miss his niece’s wedding and then finally being taken off. Wild ride.”

Video from the flight shows police escorting the man from the plane. As officers led him away, he made hand-gun gestures and shouted “ba, ba, ba, ba, ba,” imitating gunfire.

The passenger then turned toward the camera and slurred, “Can you believe these motherf*ckers? You believe this?”

Another moment captured on video showed him shouting, “Put it on Instagram! Look at these n*ggas. Look at these n*ggas!”

The New York Post reported that the man was identified as 60-year-old Jerome Anixter and that Port Authority Police arrested him before the flight departed. He faces charges of assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration.

The incident involved Delta flight DL2342, which was bound for Atlanta, while passengers were still on board.

Wasson’s reporting also referenced another tipster who said they had been seated next to the man during the flight.

Delta said it does not tolerate disruptive conduct and thanked police for handling the situation.

“Delta has zero tolerance for disruptive behavior, and we thank law enforcement for their assistance in removing this unruly customer,” a spokesperson for the airline said in a statement to The Post.

“We apologize to the customers on Delta flight DL2342 for this experience and any delay in their travels.”
