Democratic Socialists Target United Airlines, Vow to Sever Supply Chains

Newsom Hails DSA as Activists Target United Airlines and Elbit Systems

The Democratic Socialists of America is putting United Airlines and Elbit Systems on a list of corporate targets while promoting an organized campaign to sever what it calls a supply chain of death. The effort raises questions about whether the movement’s public focus on affordability tells the whole story.

The DSA has highlighted proposals such as government-run grocery stores and promises aimed at easing the cost of living. But the campaign described in the report goes much further. It focuses on disrupting corporate supply chains connected to military cargo and weapons production, leading the report to argue that the group’s ambitions extend beyond grocery prices and household finances.

The report also says DSA members have stated on video streams that they want to “destroy America from within.” One statement cited in the report was direct:

“The most important thing we can do is take that (American) empire down from within”

Canary Mission shared that statement on July 5, 2026, while arguing that DSA members had made their goal clear.

The DSA’s X account also links to an ActionNetwork page titled “DSA Arms Embargo Campaign Launch.” The page describes a movement built around workers, unions, and communities and calls for an arms embargo in solidarity with Palestine.

“We will sever the supply chain of death in solidarity with Palestine with an organized movement from below, by workers, unions, and communities. Tune in to learn how we got here and how you can build the movement that will win an Arms Embargo,”

That language is the foundation of the report’s concern. It says the DSA’s campaign is not simply calling for a policy change in Washington. Instead, it is seeking organized action aimed at companies involved in transporting or producing military equipment.

United Airlines is one of the named targets. The DSA’s description calls United the second most profitable airline group in the world. It says the airline has used civilian passenger flights to move military cargo for Israel across domestic hubs and ultimately to Tel-Aviv.

The same description says United was identified as having moved nearly 3,000 shipments of military cargo to Israel and Elbit Systems between June 2025 and March 2026. Those claims are presented as the reason United has been included in the campaign’s targeting effort.

Elbit Systems is the other major corporate name in the campaign. The article identifies Elbit Systems of America, which it says has been rebranded as Twenty-Six Defense, LLC, as an Israeli-based company producing weapons and surveillance technology. It also says Elbit is the single largest publicly traded company in Israel and supplies up to 85% of the Israeli military’s land and air weaponry.

The central question raised by the report is whether DSA organizers have concrete plans and the capability to disrupt these supply chains. The concern is that rhetoric about severing supply lines could become an organized effort against companies tied to transportation, defense, and military logistics.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is also featured in the report. A Townhall.com post shared a video dated October 26, 2026, in which Newsom described the DSA’s push for bold change as a force that will become central to the Democratic Party.

“The DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, not incremental change, is very much going to be dominant. I mean, that’s going to be a mainstream Democratic movement. Absolutely. No question about that.”

Taken together, the campaign’s corporate targets and Newsom’s comments create a sharp contrast with the DSA’s affordability message. The report questions whether promises about free groceries and handouts are merely a campaign gimmick while the movement pursues a broader goal of dismantling the capitalist state from within.
