Tomi Lahren Slams Markwayne Mullin: Ilhan Omar Deportation Alone Isn’t Enough
Fox’s Tomi Lahren is demanding a much broader immigration crackdown from the Department of Homeland Security. On Saturday, she criticized DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin for focusing on the controversy surrounding Rep. Ilhan Omar instead of explaining how the administration plans to carry out mass deportations.
The dispute followed Mullin’s comments on Friday about Omar. According to the report, Mullin confirmed that Omar “married her brother to try to bring him into the United States” and committed immigration fraud. He also said the department was examining other similar cases where “there may have been fraud from the get-go.”
Mullin added, “Something’s going to happen,” while indicating that additional investigations could be coming. The report argues that if Omar and her family committed immigration fraud, she should be denaturalized and deported. Lahren did not reject that possibility. Her complaint was that one prominent case should not replace the larger deportation effort many Republican voters expected.

“Nothing would make me happier than to see Ilhan Omar deported for immigration fraud. However, what I would have much rather heard from our DHS secretary is how he’s going to arrest and deport 10 million illegal aliens let in under the Biden administration,” Lahren said.
She made clear that the number she cited was a benchmark, not the full scope of the problem. The source article says the total number of illegal aliens in the country is much higher. Lahren’s point was that the administration needs to show progress on the broader promise, not just pursue a single high-profile target.
“I don’t want to hear him answering questions from influencers to own the libs. Owning the libs is so fun. I enjoy it too. What I enjoy more is 10 million illegal aliens being deported because that was the promise of mass deportations.”
That is a blunt message. Investigating Omar may attract attention online, but Lahren said mass deportations are what Republican voters were promised. She argued that voters will judge the administration by whether it delivers on that promise.
“What’s going to get people out to vote for Republicans is promises made, promises kept, mass deportations. If Ilhan and 10 million others go, okay. But if it’s just Ilhan because you want to make a point to own the libs on X, I’m sorry, that’s not enough for me.”
The criticism also comes amid reports that DHS is scaling back on ICE detention facilities intended for mass deportations. That backdrop makes Lahren’s demand more pointed. She wants the department talking about arrests, detention capacity and deportations on a much larger scale.

Lahren later shared the clip on X and summarized her position in blunt terms: “MASS DEPORTATIONS not this corny crap.”

Her message was not that the Omar matter should be ignored. It was that an investigation should not become a substitute for the larger immigration enforcement agenda. In Lahren’s view, deporting Omar could be significant, but deporting Omar alone would not fulfill the promise of mass deportations.
