Utah Anti-ICE Leaders’ Leaked Recording Allegedly Discusses Killing GOP Politicians and Their Children, Re-Educating MAGA

Leaked Utah Recording Allegedly Captures Anti-ICE Leaders Discussing Killing GOP Politicians and Their Children

A leaked recording from a Provo, Utah, anti-ICE group reportedly captures leaders discussing the killing of conservative politicians and their children. The discussion also included the possibility of re-education for MAGA supporters.

The recording was obtained by The Cougar Chronicle. It features Venna Anne and Ashton Hirschi, both identified as leaders of People of Provo Against ICE, or POPAI. The conversation took place during a meeting earlier this month and centered on capitalism.

At one point, someone told Anne, “You just can’t get away from capitalism.” Anne replied, “No, unless we kill everybody.” Hirschi then said they only needed to kill “some” people, with the discussion initially settling on “500.”

Anne then added, “You also have to kill their children and their [line of succession].” Hirschi agreed, saying, “We need to get the politicians.”

The remarks went beyond the group’s opposition to ICE, describing political opponents and their families as targets. When asked whether ICE agents could integrate back into society, Hirschi said, “If you’re talking about politicians or billionaires? No. Those f**kers gotta go. Period and point blank.”

When the conversation turned to “counter-revolutionaries or MAGA people,” Hirschi added, “There’s a possibility for reintegration [into society]. It would have to come through reeducation.”

The audio was shared publicly by The Cougar Chronicle in a post describing the comments.

The recording is not the only controversy linked to POPAI. The Cougar Chronicle reported in August that members of the group’s Discord praised stickers reading “Shoot Trump, Be A Hero” and “Shoot Trump, Be A Hero, Become Unforgettable.” Anne called the stickers “sick af” and encouraged members to put them up around Provo.

Hirschi and others reportedly described the stickers as “beautiful” and encouraged the person who made them to “double down.” A separate post from The Cougar Chronicle described the same group as having celebrated stickers reading “Kill Trump, Be a Hero, Become Unforgettable.”

Another POPAI member named in the report is Hector Mujica, a Venezuelan national who created and distributed the stickers. ICE arrested Mujica in downtown Provo on October 16, and he was placed in custody. The group has also been linked to efforts to disrupt a Turning Point USA memorial event for Charlie Kirk.

The controversy has political implications in Utah as well. Democratic candidate David Chappell, who is running for Utah House District 62, is a POPAI member who posted in the group’s Discord. Chappell later said he was no longer active and had not been involved for “several months,” but screenshots reportedly showed him posting on September 22 that he planned to return to meetings after Election Day.

The report says Chappell has not fully disavowed either POPAI or Mujica. That leaves voters with direct questions about the group’s rhetoric and the candidate’s past involvement.

POPAI has organized anti-ICE protests in Provo, including one on July 15. Members at that event held signs reading “ICE DESTROYS FAMILIES,” “REPEAL 287(g)!” and “HONK IF YOU HATE ICE.” The group maintains an Instagram presence and has worked with other left-wing organizations.
