A live CNN segment outside the White House took an unexpected turn when a man in the background challenged the network’s coverage. CNN reporter Betsy Klein was discussing being barred from entering the White House after her press pass was deactivated.
As Klein discussed the loss of access, a man’s voice could be heard over the broadcast. “Tell the truth!” he yelled. “If you tell the truth, then you won’t get revoked.” He repeated: “Tell the truth.”
According to a post from Luke Radel, Klein’s White House press badge had been revoked that morning. The post quoted Klein saying, “We can do our job anywhere.”
A second post from Nick Sortor described the exchange as a patriot heckling CNN’s reporter live outside the White House and included the confrontation.
Watch the exchange below.
The incident came after President Trump announced Friday on Truth Social that he had banned CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House for constantly reporting “FAKE NEWS.” Trump also warned that other fake news media outlets would be next.
Trump wrote: “I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW (who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to lack of viewership and credibility!), and Politico (The recipients of an illegal and ridiculous $8 Million Dollar subscription, an All Time Record, directly from the United States Government, under Crooked Joe Biden, in order to keep them ‘alive.’)”
The Gateway Pundit report said Trump’s decision will almost certainly spark a legal battle. Klein’s response, as quoted in the report, was: “We can do our job anywhere.”
🤣🔥 INCREDIBLE: Some patriot just walked up and HECKLED CNN's reporter LIVE ON AIR outside the White House
"Tell the truth! If you tell the truth, then you won't get revoked. Tell the truth."
What a concept! 🤯
Unfortunately, CNN is totally incapable of telling the truth.… https://t.co/CIqQKla59y pic.twitter.com/BCzEbChBTl
