WATCH: U.S. Marshals Escort Sean Strickland Out of White House Fan Fest
Sean Strickland showed up at UFC Fan Fest in Washington, D.C., and things went off the rails fast. The UFC middleweight champion was escorted out by U.S. Marshals and U.S. Park Police after making his way into the event at the Ellipse near the White House.
Strickland posted a photo on Instagram showing the escort and added, “I may have been charged with disorderly conduct. I don’t know what that is but it sounds cool.”
He was not arrested, but MMA Fighting reported he could be facing a disorderly conduct charge. In Washington, D.C., that is a Class B misdemeanor. It can carry up to 90 days in jail, a fine of up to $500, or both.
According to the report, Strickland had said he was banned from the UFC Freedom 250 event after criticizing President Trump and the Iran war. He still made it to Washington and drew a crowd at the pre-fight press conference on Friday.
He then tried to get into the fan fest anyway. At one point, he even jumped into a WWE ring set up at the venue before security moved in and got him out. That turned the whole scene into a loud, messy moment in front of a big crowd.
The crowd around him was fired up. Some fans chanted, “USA, USA, USA.”

Dana White pushed back on the idea that Strickland was banned. White said he was not banned and was simply not on the guest list because the venue had limited seating.
The setting made the whole thing feel bigger than a normal fight-week scuffle. It played out with the White House nearby, a packed fan event, and cameras everywhere. Once the escort started, the clip practically wrote itself.
