Levi Strauss Puts Out A Letter That Will Have You Questioning How Well Denim Burns

Companies nowadays have been pandering to the Left in hopes of attracting Liberals and in order to remain hip. Usually, they do this with CRT training and or guns, like Dicks Sporting Goods store did in response to the Parkland shooting. But this is an odd pander. In response to the Rittenhouse verdict last week, well-known denim manufacturer Levis Strauss offered therapy to their employees…

Levis Strauss sent the following letter out to their employees.

“The following is a message from Elizabeth A. Morrison, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer.

Hi everyone,

With the news that Kyle Rittenhouse was not convicted in the shooting of three individuals – two of whom lost their lives – during racial justice protests last year, this is a difficult day for many. The pain and trauma of race, identity, and belief-based tragedies is a reality that many of us are struggling with on an ongoing basis. It can feel physically, mentally, and emotionally draining to continue to relive these moments, and I want you to know, it’s okay to not be okay. Please also know that my team and I are here for you and are working hard to create opportunities for you to express
how you’re feeling.

To help promote safety, sharing, and to encourage healing, I’ll be hosting a fireside chat and Q&A with Dr. Jamila Codrington, a licensed psychologist and racial trauma specialist in early December.

Dr. J and I will talk about the mental and psychical impacts of back-to-back social and racial justice events and trauma coping mechanisms during our discussion.

More details on that session are coming soon, but today I want to encourage you to prioritize self-care. If you need support, you can speak with a trained counselor for free as part of our WorkLife Services Program. It’s available 24/7 and is completely confidential. You can also reach out to me, my team, or our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), who are dedicated to building inclusive and supportive communities.

I also want to share resources available to help you impact social justice, equality and drive positive change, including:
• Getting educated and informed on the issue of gun violence so you can be an active citizen
in your community
• Visiting our Giving Back portal and supporting organizations focused on racial equity, justice, and curbing gun violence (for every dollar you donate, we’re increasing your 1:1 match to a 2:1, tripling your impact to these organizations).
• Using your LS&Co. paid volunteer time off benefit to participate in advocacy efforts.
• Reaching out to your elected officials to let them know just how important common-sense gun laws are to you. Take care of yourselves. I look forward to speaking with you at our session with Dr. Jamila in December”

Why would anyone need therapy over the Rittenhouse case? He was defending himself. Anyone who requires therapy over this incident has much bigger issues. Levis Strauss though is implying that everyone should be upset over a case of self-defense and pandering hard to the left here. That’s a foolish move for a company that makes blue-collar clothing.
