MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle and guest, acting national political director for the ACLU, Kary Moss were really losing their minds Wednesday. Ruhle claimed that women who were in the midst of tragic miscarriages were being denied care by hospitals thanks to the overturn of Roe V Wade.
Ruhle screeched, “Roe v. Wade being overturned has disrupted health care across this nation! The New York Times reported on a story of a Wisconsin woman who was turned away from a hospital while she was experiencing a miscarriage. By the time that she found a doctor who gave her the appropriate medications, the woman had been bleeding intermittently for days. Putting her at increased risk of hemorrhage or infection. Not to mention the emotional distress.”
It didn’t take long for the pair to show their hand. Moss chimed in to push voting blue in the midterms. She added in that voter’s rights are in jeopardy, “voting rights are hand and hand. But at the end of the day, what really we need is for people to turn out to vote. Right? To vote their values. To vote on, to hold politicians accountable.”
Ruhle claimed, “People are being denied care. I just said it before, for miscarriages, for ectopic pregnancies, because of these laws. They’re not going to the hospitals seeking abortions, do these patients have any recourse?”
Moss turned up the dramatics saying, “You know, the human devastation is really unbelievable and we are already seeing it in this New York Times story you just featured. We’re seeing chaos, we’re seeing unpredictability, we’re seeing needless harm to the most vulnerable. We–we– know that marginalized women in particular are going to be most affected. Black women are two times more likely to die in childbirth. So, these bans are already having a chaotic impact.”
Watch
We still have a few more months before the midterms so I expect that the rhetoric and misinformation will only get worse. The left-wing media machine is doing its part to try and get liberals back on board with Democrats. I think they’re underestimating voters. Democrats have just about run this country into the ground and now the average American struggles to pay for groceries, never mind their prescriptions. I just don’t think fearmongering is going to work like it used to.
