Scott Jennings Destroys Media Spin on MS-13 Illegal [Video]

The mainstream media has gone off the rails over the deportation of Kilmar Abrego García, an illegal immigrant and alleged MS-13 gang member. No outlet is more frenzied than CNN, where Abby Phillip’s NewsNight—regularly dubbed the “Thunderdome” for its chaotic, panel-driven shouting matches—couldn’t hide their open anguish at the United States daring, under President Trump, to enforce immigration law.

The latest frenzy stemmed from President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador visiting the White House for discussions with President Trump. The conversation quickly turned to a Supreme Court ruling instructing President Trump’s administration to “facilitate” Abrego García’s re-entry into America—despite his clear illegal status and allegations of gang affiliation. CNN’s panel, predictably, obsessed over the fate of the so-called “Maryland Dad,” skirting the hard truths about Abrego García’s background. But things shifted dramatically when conservative commentator Scott Jennings had his chance to weigh in.

Jennings did not mince words. As he pointed out:

“I think you guys need to understand: for the Trump administration, there is no version of this man’s life that ends up with him living in the United States. Here’s the way they view it. He’s an illegal alien from El Salvador who came to the country illegally, who has a deportation order, who in their view, and in the view of some immigration courts, has an affiliation with MS-13. They also believe on the Supreme…”

Of course, Abby Phillip couldn’t let Jennings land his point, immediately jumping in to muddy the waters:

“Just to be clear. That’s not quite what it is. I think the issue of the MS-13 thing is probably the most unclear of this whole thing. The administration has not provided that concrete evidence that they say they have that he’s part of MS-13…”

Jennings pressed on, attempting to clarify:

“Well, their view is that immigration courts…”

But Phillip wasn’t done running interference, talking over him and noting,

“…and he strongly disputes in court, right? So this is not me saying it. He is disputed in court that he is a member of MS-13…” (the discussion devolving into crosstalk).

This is a classic tactic from the liberal media playbook: demand impossible “proof,” interrupt, deflect, and shield their preferred narrative at all costs. Instead of digging for the truth or holding dangerous criminals accountable, CNN’s panel seemed more invested in protecting an illegal alien with gang ties than in defending law-abiding American citizens.

Jennings didn’t let up. Later, he hammered home a point the liberal media avoids: Speaking about the “Maryland Mother” who was allegedly killed by an illegal alien, he stated, “her killer was just found guilty of first-degree murder. But you never heard about the process of this trial in the news. Unlike, say, the Idaho college murders, which we hear about all the time.”

This exposes the establishment media’s shameless bias. High-profile cases that fit their ideological narrative receive wall-to-wall coverage. But when illegal immigrants commit heinous crimes, they bury the facts or ignore them altogether, lest the reality undermine their open-borders agenda.

The bottom line is hard to miss: There exists an entire media complex fighting for the rights of a known criminal, an alleged MS-13 operative, to reenter and remain in America. They paint him as a “dad” and ignore his dangerous past, while portraying Trump’s rock-solid enforcement of immigration laws as some kind of human rights violation. Under President Trump, however, it’s clear: lawlessness has consequences, and protecting American families comes before the interests of criminals, no matter what CNN’s panel says.
