On Saturday, Vice President Kamala Harris and Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan went to a bar after a campaign event. As they chatted and sipped on their beers, the two women appeared to begin discussing the presidential race. However, they quickly realized that their conversation could be picked up by microphones belonging to the press.
Whitmer offered to buy Harris a beer, which the vice president accepted after asking for the same type of beer that the governor was having. The two women laughed and joked, with Whitmer mentioning that Harris had a “great rally” that day and that it felt good on the ground.
However, their cheerful conversation quickly turned when Harris noticed the reporters’ microphones.
“Oh, we have microphones in here just listening to everything, I didn’t realize that,” Harris told Whitmer.
“You’ll bleep my F words, I hope,” Whitmer responded, indicating that she didn’t want her language to be recorded.
“We just told all the family secrets. Shit,” Harris exclaimed, showing her concern about their conversation possibly being picked up by the press.
This incident at the bar only adds to the growing criticism of Harris and her campaign. She has been accused of flip-flopping on several key issues, including healthcare, gun control, and immigration policies, which were once considered left-wing positions for her when she ran for president in 2020. But now, she seems to have distanced herself from these views, mostly through statements made by her campaign aides to the media.
In fact, during a recent interview with “60 Minutes,” Harris struggled to provide clear answers when questioned about these policy changes. And her campaign website’s “issues” section appears to be a direct copy from President Joe Biden’s reelection site, indicating a lack of specific policy details from Harris.
Furthermore, Harris seems to be facing a tough competition in the crucial swing state of Michigan, where she trails Trump by 0.2% in the RealClearPolitics average of polls from October 2 to 21. This leads many to believe that she may not be the best candidate to beat Trump in the upcoming election.
This casual conversation between Harris and Whitmer at the bar only shows their lack of seriousness and critical thinking, especially in a state like Michigan, which has a significant impact on the presidential race.
Harris may not be the reliable and capable leader that the country needs in these challenging times. It’s time to support Trump and his proven track record of success instead of risking it all with Harris and her questionable policies and decisions.
