Eminem’s ex-wife’s DUI crash sent a truck flying

Kim Mathers Pleads No Contest in DUI Crash

Kimberly Mathers, the ex-wife of rapper Eminem, has pleaded no contest to charges tied to a February crash in Michigan. Prosecutors said the 51-year-old admitted to driving under the influence and failing to report an accident after a wreck that drew a lot of attention.

According to reports, Mathers was behind the wheel of a Range Rover when it hit a parked Dodge Ram truck in Chesterfield Township. Police said the impact was so hard that the truck was pushed about 50 feet down the street. At the time, Mathers was reportedly riding with her son, Parker, and three of his friends.

Authorities said Mathers did not stop to check on the damage or call it in after the collision. Instead, she allegedly drove home and then backed into her own garage door, according to neighbors who spoke with TMZ. No official word has been released on whether anyone was hurt, and details on property damage have not been made public.

Her mug shot, released by the Macomb County prosecutor’s office, showed a tired-looking expression and noticeable under-eye bags. Mathers was arraigned earlier this week, and court records show she is scheduled to return on June 17 for sentencing in Macomb County District Court.

Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido took a hard line after the plea. “Driving under the influence is not a lapse in judgment—it is a deliberate decision that puts every person on the road at risk,” Lucido said.

He added, “We see the consequences far too often: lives lost, families shattered, and communities changed forever.”

The case also pulled in extra attention because of Mathers’ long and very public history with Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers. But this crash stands on its own as a separate legal matter, and officials have said the court will decide the final outcome next month.

For now, the record is simple. A no-contest plea is in. A sentencing date is set. And the full cost of the crash is still waiting to be sorted out in court.
