Kiké Hernández Shares Fan’s Address After White House Visit Backlash
Dodgers utility player Kiké Hernández is catching heat after taking a private fan complaint and putting it on blast for the internet.
The issue started after the Los Angeles Dodgers made a July 23 visit to the White House following their second straight World Series win. Hernández was not there. The official reason is simple enough: he is on an injury rehab assignment with the Oklahoma City Comets, the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate.
But Hernández also made it clear he was not exactly eager to attend. According to Fox, he said, “If I was active, I probably wouldn’t have gone anyways.”
That comment did not land well with some fans, especially after Hernández had already downplayed a previous White House visit. Last year, he described the event as uneventful, saying the President, whom he called “The guy,” just “gave his speech.” He also said he “wasn’t really interested in talking to him anyway.”
Fox News contributor Joe Concha had previously criticized Hernández over the White House snub while pointing to his World Series numbers. Hernández went 5 for 28 at the plate, good for a .179 batting average.
“The bottom line is that this guy, not exactly key to the Dodgers winning their World Series; .237 lifetime hitter,” Concha said, while giving more credit to Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani.
One fan then sent Hernández a letter unloading on him over the White House situation. Hernández posted the letter on Instagram. The problem is that he also showed the sender’s name and address.
“After hearing about the horrible experience during your last visit to the White House and your excuse for your absence this year it seems clear that you are just a disrespectful, spoiled, pampered, entitled little brat,” the fan wrote.
The fan also took aim at the Dodgers organization over its past controversy involving the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. In 2023, the team faced major backlash after inviting and honoring the group during a Pride Night event at Dodger Stadium, a move many Catholics viewed as insulting to their faith.
“Remember you work for an organization that promotes a group (The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) that disparages and denigrates the entire Catholic religion,” the fan added.
Hernández responded by sharing the letter publicly and writing, “[Shoutout] to Larry for the nice letter! Next time, at least make it handwritten you nice sir!”
That move sparked criticism because sharing a critic’s personal information online can expose regular people to harassment. Hernández is a public figure making millions to play baseball. A fan writing a harsh letter is one thing. Broadcasting that fan’s address to a massive social media audience is another.
Hernández has also been outspoken against President Trump’s immigration policies. The Dodgers were pulled into immigration-related headlines in 2025 after rumors spread that immigration officials were at Dodger Stadium. While some claimed ICE was targeting fans, OutKick reported the personnel were California Border Control agents conducting routine operations unrelated to local sweeps.
